Nishant is the CIO and Managing Partner of Kedaara Capital and co-founded the firm in 2012 along with Manish and Sunish. Nishant has over 17 years of industry experience primarily encompassing the full life-cycle of private equity in India across a variety of industries and across private and public markets. He has led investments, managed the portfolio and successfully divested investments over this period.
Before founding Kedaara, Nishant served as a Principal and one of the core members of the India investment team at GA, a leading growth-oriented global private equity firm. He co-led GA’s investments across financial services, healthcare, business services and technology, including investments in IndusInd Bank, Jubilant Lifesciences and IBS Software, among others. Prior to GA, Nishant worked at McKinsey and focused on the technology services, financial services, healthcare and government sectors. In addition, he worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, helping set up the largest HIV/AIDS prevention program in India.
Nishant serves on the board of directors of Aavas, AMI, Veritas, VMMPL, Vijaya and served on the board of AU SFB having led these investments for Kedaara. Nishant is a member of the Mumbai chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Nishant has been profiled as one of India’s hottest business leaders by Economic Times under the 40 under forty awards. Nishant received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, and a Dual Degree (B.Tech & M.Tech) in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology from the IIT Delhi
Ashay Shah

Ashay joined Kedaara Capital in 2012 and leads investment advisory across the Healthcare and Auto Components sectors.
Prior to joining Kedaara Capital, Ashay worked in the investment advisory team of Matrix Partners India, an India-focused private equity fund with $600 million under management. At Matrix, Ashay primarily focused on the financial services, education and hospitality sectors. Previously, he worked in the Investment Banking Division of Bank of America in New York, in the Financial Institutions Group, where he was responsible for the execution of M&A and capital markets transactions for banks, insurers and financial technology companies.
Ashay currently serves on the boards of Sunbeam Lightweighting Solutions Private Limited and Ami Lifesciences Private Limited and served on the board of Bill Forge Private Limited prior to its sale. He is a member of the Mumbai chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization. He holds an M.B.A. with Distinction from INSEAD, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Economics from Duke University.

Vaidheesh is a successful senior business leader with over 3 decades of diverse experience in healthcare and FMCG domain. He has a strong track record of leadership development and building leading brands/franchises across various categories and multi-cultural locations in Asia-pacific region.
In December 2016, Vaidheesh was recognised as one of the “Most Influential Leaders of Asia” by Economic Times at the Asian Business Leaders Conclave held in Malaysia. Vaidheesh is a Bachelor of Physics, from Madras University and has done his Master’s Degree in Marketing Management from Bombay University. He is an Honorary Fellow of The Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India and is a certified Process Excellence Black Belt.
Prior to his current role he was Vice President, Corporate Government Affairs, Asia-Pacific for Johnson & Johnson based out of Singapore and a member of Global Leadership team for healthcare advocacy and policy. Before that he was Managing Director of Johnson & Johnson Medical India (JJMI) and Vice president, Asia-Pacific- Diabetes franchise for five years.
